Psychotherapy is a powerful journey of self discovery. It's a space where you begin to see yourself more clearly through the eyes of another, a trained, compassionate other who truly listens. In our therapeutic relationship, you’ll begin to understand the "why" behind your thoughts, emotions and behaviours. You’ll learn how these patterns have formed over time, and how you might begin to shift them, if change is what you choose.
You are the expert in your own life. Nobody else has lived your experience or felt your feelings. Your thoughts and feelings are as unique as your DNA. In our sessions, I will help you tune in to what you need to feel fulfilled, empowered and emotionally anchored. My role isn’t to tell you who to be, or what to do, but to walk beside you as you discover it all for yourself.
Think of psychotherapy as you looking into a mirror. You already carry the answers within you, my job is to help you see more clearly. Through our work together, I become the mirror: a steady, reflective presence offering insight, safety and support as you explore and delve deeper into your emotional world.
Psychotherapy is not just my profession, it's my passion. As part of my professional training, I have experienced therapy myself. I know what it means to sit in the client’s chair. I understand the courage it takes to seek support, and I honour that courage in every session.
I engage in regular reading, learning and clinical development to bring you the most relevant, science informed approaches to emotional healing. This includes sharing insights from psychology, neuroscience, neurobiology and the biology of trauma, so that you can better understand your nervous system and how it responds to life’s stresses. If this is something that resonates with you, I’ll weave it into our work in a gentle, accessible way.
Our sessions will be led by your needs, at your pace and always with care.
Through deep insight and lived understanding, compassion and clarity emerge.
I have successfully supported many adult clients, both male and female, through individual therapy to work through a wide range of emotional concerns and life challenges. Much of my clinical experience has involved working with individuals who have endured severe trauma, including domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, adult sexual abuse and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Alongside trauma recovery, I am passionate about empowering people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds to reconnect with their identity, especially those working through the complexities of dual heritage or feeling caught between cultures.
This passion is rooted in my own lived experience. As someone who identifies as British Indian Mauritian, I understand the emotional landscape that comes with holding both Eastern and Western cultural influences. I bring this awareness into our sessions with sensitivity and openness. In our work together, we will explore what your cultural identity means to you, how it has shaped your relationships, sense of self, emotional patterns and worldview.
I believe that honest, thoughtful conversations about race, culture and belonging are vital in therapy, and I am confident and competent in supporting these complex dialogues with care and respect.
My previous clients frequently share how deeply supported, seen and understood they’ve felt while working with me, from their very first session onwards. Many have reflected on how therapy with me has helped them understand themselves more fully, both as individuals and in the context of their relationships. They’ve expressed sincere appreciation for the emotional work we’ve done together, and how it has positively changed the course of their lives.
If you’re ready to begin this kind of work, to feel more emotionally anchored, self aware and empowered, person centred psychotherapy can offer the support you need.
Many clients begin their therapy journey with grief and loss at the heart of their story. If this resonates, my bereavement counselling page offers you a dedicated space.
Alongside my psychotherapy work, I’ve worked in corporate leadership as a full time digital marketing professional as well as in education as a teacher and coach. This means I understand the pressures of work life balance, career stress and dealing with personal challenges in high responsibility roles. I use this knowledge to inform my work, not with advice, but with empathy and relevance to understanding your day-to-day world.
When we work together, you’re not just getting theory, you’re getting someone who’s walked the walk and can sit with you in both your chaos and your clarity.
I love what I do. Want to learn from me so you can live a life in this way, too?
I promise to bring energy, empathy and professionalism to every therapy session. You don’t need to be anything other than yourself, whatever that looks like right now, because you will be accepted just as you are. I am UKCP accredited, which means I undergo continuous professional development and clinical supervision to maintain the highest standards in the psychotherapy profession.
